As a nurse, I have cared for many people suffering from illness, injury, and disease. I understand how stressful and time consuming it can be to find natural solutions based on real scientific evidence. There are so many supplements out there, and it is hard to know which ones will really work for you. You might have already spent countless hours scouring the internet for answers. I started this blog for people like you.
I deeply believe that any person who chooses to heal themselves can, and will. You can, and you will. So thank you for letting me help you discover the natural supplements you need to have the health and wellness you deserve.
Years before I became a nurse, I had read a book by Jordan Rubin called “Patient, Heal Thyself.” To me, it was inspirational and in some way I believe it put me on the path to becoming an RN. I mention this because the title of that book still rings true to the core of what I believe. Doctors and nurses and other health care providers are here to help as best we can, but at the end of the day, the patient must choose to heal themselves. In the process of healing themselves, they invariably need to educate themselves on mental, physical, and spiritual health while simultaneously navigating a confusing health care system filled with medical jargon that might make them feel even more isolated and lost. I hope that somehow along the way whether it is at the bedside or online, I can help to bridge the gap in knowledge and communication between health care professionals and the people they serve.
A personal message to my readers:
I posed a question on social media outlets regarding what health issues are most confusing or have little available information. The responses were outstanding, so if you were one of my respondents THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I will address each and every one systematically. Please subscribe to this blog for new article notifications and please be patient, because I do not want to post anything that I have not fully researched, or do not fully believe in an attempt to rush it out. I am very passionate about what I am doing here and I believe deeply in the concept of open science. I am doing my best to be the change I want to see in health information communication. This involves sharing current research and my personal opinions which are developed through evaluation of existing evidence. Thank you for joining me and for being a part of this exciting journey.
